Future students
Welcome
- Are you interested in science and fascinated by questions related to all living things and their interaction with the environment?
- Do you think about problems related to food shortages, climate change, pandemics, environmental pollution, antibiotics and fuels?
Then you are more of a bioscience engineer than you think and one of the master’s programmes at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering is definitely a perfect fit for you.
Newspapers, journals, radio and television report every day on increasing food shortages, plastic pollution, the finite stock of raw materials sources and global warming on a daily basis. Our society would be in bad shape if it weren’t for the bioscience engineers who are involved in the development, control and improvement of, amongst others, food, biofuels, medicines, gene technology, sensor technology, climate and nano-applications in food science and health care.
Bioscience engineers marvel at the ‘inventions’ that nature offers them. They study, control and improve these inventions and sometimes they even recreate them with the base material of life itself.
