Services in livestock genetics

We support breeding organisations in many aspects related to breeding and selection of livestock.

We develop and maintain procedures for breeding evaluation. With this so-called classical approach to genetics, it is still possible to support selection decisions effectively for most traits and to make significant genetic progress. We are currently computing breeding values for pigs, sporthorses and sheep.

Furthermore, we provide parentage testing in horses. Dogs and eventually other livestock are under consideration. Other genetic tests will be made available gradually.

Parentage testing is done according to the ISAG guidelines.
