Short summary CMPG/bioinformatics
In our research group, we want to study an organism, as an integrated and interacting network of genes, proteins and biochemical reactions. Our research goal is to gain insight in the structure and evolution of these molecular networks through integrative modeling of large amounts of high-throughput molecular data. In our interdisciplinary team we devise new algorithms for data integration and network inference and apply them on prokaryotic model systems.
Better understanding the principles underlying network structure are key towards synthetic biology and microbial trait selection.
