Information on how and when to register can be found at the registration information center of K.U.Leuven. The deadline for applications of foreign students is 1 March of the year preceding the commencement of your studies. The 16th of August is the date that the registration of students at K.U.Leuven starts; students can enroll till middle of October. The academic year 2008-2009 itself will start on 22 September 2008.

There are possibilities for scolarships: Study grants can be obtained from several sponsoring agencies. Some addresses of grant awarding institutes are collected by the Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGDC), and are available at here. Apart from the institutions listed, many other local and international sponsoring institutions exist.

Since securing financial assistance is in most cases a very important burden to overcome, we kindly advice you to start your search well in advance of the start of the academic year and to apply to several institutions simultaneously to increase your chances to secure financing.
