Biosensors
Welcome at the homepage of the Biosensors research group. This research group was founded in 2005 in the Division Mechatronics, Biostatistics and Sensors (MeBioS) of the Department of Biosystems at the K.U.Leuven and is headed by Prof. Jeroen Lammertyn. The fundamental research activities are framed in the supradisciplinary field of bionanotechnology and focus on development of novel bio-molecular detection concepts for integration in miniaturised analysis systems. The applications span a broad range of sectors including food quality and safety, medical, veterinary and environmental diagnostics.
The Biosensors group is associated to the K.U.Leuven Nanocenter and Leuven Materials Research Center.
